Company Profile
Pacmar began operating in February 1997. Situated on the outskirts of Wellington in the Western Cape, Pacmar can be described as a contract packaging company, and is currently packaging for the larger brands in the local and international markets.
Various registered brand products are produced and packed including wine, fruit juice and other liquid beverages. These are packed in both aseptic and preserved forms.
Our personnel have collectively spent many years in both the fruit and flavour industries and are therefore able to offer support in a wide range of areas within the food industry. Our modus operandi revolves around our technical experience.
The combination of experience and technical expertise in both the fruit juice and flavour industries enables Pacmar to offer a specialised service to the industry.
Pacmar offering
PLASTIC LINE
- Preserved shelf life.
- Pasteurised non preserved short life.
- Product can be packaged in bottles from 350ml, 500ml, 1L, 2L & 4L.
ELOPAK
A first in South Africa. The product is pasteurised, unpreserved and packed in resealable gable-top cartons with an anti-tamper ring concealed within the closure. The wide mouth (21-22mm), resealable screw-cap opening makes for easy pouring and resealing. Currently this unique packaging is used for the packaging of fruit and vegetable juice, as well as wine. Pacmar currently runs three Elopak lines: one Mini Cross, one Standard and one Maxiline - 330ml, 500ml, 1L & 2L.
TETRA PAK
The latest in aseptic technology is being used on the 1-litre Tetra Pak line. The largest volumes of Pacmar’s contract packed products are aseptically packed, for example: wine, fruit and vegetable juices. Four Tetra lines are currently operational: 2x Tetra Brik Aseptic 1 litre lines, as well as a 2 x Tetra Brik Aseptic 200ml lines.
BULK PACKING
Preserved fruit juice can be packed in a 20 litre ‘bag in a box’ and 5L ‘bag in a box’. These products are suitable for the domestic market and catering trade.
As a contract packer, all of the above facilities are made available to our customers. A team of Food Technologists and experienced technicians who can assist with product development and packaging, backs our service.
