The Pacmar Factory
Pacmar offers a comprehensive contract packaging service, to suit the needs of both local and international clients alike. Our state-of-the-art factory facilities enables us to pack product in various forms, and we are situated not far from Cape Town harbour for easy exporting of products.
Our own dedicated Pacmar team ensures quality products are delivered every time, on time.
Storage and Distribution
Our distribution department handles shipment of all finished goods to local, national and international locations. Local orders are received via telephone, fax, e-mail or internet where after it is allocated, prepared and sent out 24 hours after placing the order. Export orders are processed after production of the order has been done, and are dependent on space and availability of transport vessels. The distribution department operates in 3 shifts which mean that freight can be loaded 24 hours per day. Modern loading facilities and equipment allows efficient loading without products being damaged during the loading process.
WAREHOUSE - This facility houses a sufficient supply at all times, to ensure that customer´s product requests are always satisfied. An efficient stock control system is updated as soon as new stock arrives. Minimal divergences in stock take is upheld through daily stock takes in production. Optimal use of the stock control system ensures that stock can be accounted for at any given time. Quarterly stock takes assist in immediate identification and rectification of divergence in the control system. Continual staff training ensures that workers have positive attitudes at all times. Hygiene control in the warehouse is of utmost importance, while work ethics and pride are held in high regard as well.
HYGIENE AND PEST CONTROL
Outsourced suppliers are contracted to ensure that Pacmar’s premises are continually monitored and maintained regarding pests and hygiene services, which ensures a safe working environment and safe products.
Training and awareness
The quality department does continuous training to ensure all operators and production staff are always aware of factors that can affect product quality.
Environmental Support
Waste is a risk and it costs money. It only makes sense that it needs to be managed by a professional that is focused on reducing your waste. WastePlan (www.wasteplan.co.za) is that professional that assists Pacmar to be more green...and GREEN IS IN! They are currently the largest on-site waste management company in the Western Cape and specialise in managing waste on-site in such a manner that it will reduce the waste Pacmar sends to the landfill.
Not only does Pacmar make use of WastePlan, they are also proud to make use of the greener pallet - Tetra Pak Pallet. Tetra Pak recycles used cartons to create pallets. Pacmar is proud to make use of these pallets to distribute products.
